Senior fitness — it is training aimed at strengthening of health and ageing prevention for middle age and elderly persons. The goal of this training is strengthening of health, extending of functional capabilities, raising of the level of physical development, and maintaining of support and movement apparatus.

Various training modes may be used during the programme: aerobic, strength, flexibility development mode, breathing exercises, and development of coordination. Also, various types of equipment may be used: balls, rubber shock absorbers, dumbbells, exercise sticks etc.
