MyFitness

Myfitness Walk is an active hiking-type measure in fresh air with tasks to be performed during a limited period.

 

THE AIM

Spend time actively and exploring outdoors the districts of Riga.

DISTANCE 

The distance that you will cover during the Walk could be 5 to 15 km — it depends on how successful you are in finding the objects and in what order.*

*We encourage you to turn on navigation, so it is convenient for you to see how many kilometres you cover within the Walk.

PARTICIPANTS

  • A team can be made up of 2 to 4 participants.
  • Age — at least one person in a team must be an adult.

EVENT TIME AND VENUE

• from 27 February to 7 March, from 11:00 – 17:00 * (When you register, you will have to choose the most convenient date for you.)

• Place – Stopiņi.

PARTICIPATION FEE

For a team (2 persons per household): EUR 8,50

*The teams that participated in the previous MyFitness Walk have received a discount code that will receive a discount to MyFitness Walk-Stopiņi when entering.

REGISTRATION OF PARTICIPANTS

  • Online registration of participants and payment is to be performed by one person of the team.
  • After a successful registration, the team will receive a confirmation email within 26 hours.

EVENT ORDER

Registration on the MyFitness website;

• Approval e-mail from MyFitness;

• You will receive a site map in e-mail some days before the selected date to see where you are more comfortable starting a Walk.

• On your chosen date a few minutes before 11:00 you need to be near a walking place;

• You will receive the necessary materials on WhatsApp .11: 00

• From 11:00 – 17:00 take a Walk seeking 30 checkpoints and performing tasks;

• The search for objects is likely to take around 3 hours, but we give you a lot more time to enjoy the Walk.

• Until 17:00 all checkpoints and answers to questions found, as well as the tasks performed, will have to be sent to the number shown in the materials;

• After 17:00 will no longer be taken photos/ answers and done tasks.

TASKS

• The order in which objects are searched is within the command;

• When you have reached one of the points of the card, you must search for the location displayed in the photograph table;

• Take a picture from the same pivot as in the photograph you have given;

• At least one team representative should be visible in all photos taken. It is essential that one of the team’s members must appear in all the pictures;

• After taking a picture, send it to the phone number what You will fine in info material, write the picture number and answering the question, or completing the task or write the number/letter what You will found;

• Sending all pictures you have taken must be done from 11:00 to 17:00;

• If you have found at least 70% of the 30 checkpoints between 11:00 and 17:00, you will automatically participate in a surprise award from MyFitness;

• Each team will also appear in the summary table of the MyFitness Walk 2021, at the end of this year (details below).

MATERIALS OF THE EVENT

On the day of the event, you will receive 3 necessary materials for the WhatsApp application so that you can go “MyFitness Walk”:

o Google folder with marked points where you will have to go.

o PDF with a table that will specify the objects to be searched for.

o PDF manual, with examples of how the digits/letters you’re looking for and other useful information will look.

• In the table of objects you are looking for, you’ll see what you need to do there: simply make photo-fixations and do the task, or answer the question, or find a letter/number.

POINTS SYSTEM AND AWARDS

• Planning 5-7 “MyFitness Walks” as part of the year;

• At the end of each MyFitness Walk, the results of all the teams will be summarized and displayed in the table;

• There will be two results tables: one will be about the specific MyFitness Walk and the other will be a summary of all MyFitness Walk 2021 events;

• At the end of each MyFitness Walk, the first three-place winning teams will receive awards;

• At the end of the year, all the first three-place winning teams in the MyFitness Walk 2021 summary will receive the big awards from MyFitness and partners.

CLOTHING and EQUIPMENT

• Clothing and footwear appropriate to the weather;

• We recommend dressing according to the principle of “Onion.”

• Take drinking water;

• Picnic is always a good idea;

• Warm tea/coffee in the Thermos;

• Recommend shoes that do not pass moisture.
